This is a pencil drawing I made, inspired by a strange encounter I experienced with a friend.

I sent the original pencil drawing to myself in an email. While using the camera on my phone, I noticed that the computer screen distorted into different colors :). I took a picture of my art on the screen, then enhanced the vibrancy of the color patterns. I put the whole thing into photoshop and warped/liquified the piece even further. What we have now is a vibe that I can't quite put into words yet, but I think it looks pretty cool.

Anyways, I got the original drawing tattooed on my back. The tattoo was done by Kevin of @tattoosbyKev on Instagram! It took about 8 hours to finish the whole thing, and we talked the entire time. Kevin is awesome and full of wisdom.

My plan is to get my back completely tatted, adding a new element to the piece for every transformative event that occurs in my life. I want the whole thing to be a cohesive illustration; to flow like a storybook page for my life. We're still in the very early stages of this-- I'm just waiting for more interesting things to happen to me haha.
